The Pillar
A long time ago in the magical land of wyvern, there lived a dark and evil lich known simply as Salkand. He wore dark robes, and never permitted anyone to see his face, most likely due to the acne he was said to have. Salkand lived in the deep frozen north, where no living creature could come to find him, but he was known to spend most of his time sitting in Minath Auction Hall.
On the Other side of the world there was a dwarf named Hamel, said to be the greatest dwarf in the entire world, of course dwarfs are believed to measure greatness in the size of one’s girth, and Hamel had plenty of that. Hamel too was known to spend his time in the same Auction Hall. It was on one fateful day that Salkand and Hamel both entered the auction hall at the same time, and made their way to lean on one of the pillars. Now, both Hamel and Salkand reached the pillar at the same time, running into each other as they tried to get comfortable. “What are you about?” Shouted Hamel “This is my pillar, everyone knows that.” “Your pillar!” shouted Salkand “I have never heard such blasphemy; everyone knows this pillar belongs to me, it even has my name on it!” “Where” Said Hamel “I see no name.” “Here!” and with that, Salkand took out his permanent marker, places his name on the pillar. In a huff, Hamel removed his own marker and places his name just below Salkand’s, making sure to place a date earlier than his. And so it went from day and night, Salkand yelled and Hamel’s fight. They rolled on the ground, creating quite a sound, That sound could be heard far and wide, by every heard, and after every tide. Finally, after years of this ruckus, the great Arch-Wizard Rhialto grew tired of the fight, and in a majestic show of power and grace, he appeared before the two and struck them a deal. “Let’s cut the pillar in half” said he “and to each shall gain one, and the other the second.” But Rhialto was clever, he knew that one would agree, and the other, for love of the pillar would refuse, and who ever should refuse would be the rightful owner of the pillar. But to Rhialto’s surprise they both accepted, and so he sliced the pillar in half, one to each, and for each one, and with that he disappeared as magically as he came. And as well went quiet, and the land grew silent, to each a pillar Hamel and Salkand went. But Hamel stopped, and saw a sandal upon the ground, which read Rhialto, for he must have left it behind. Hamel reached for the sandal, but Salkand stood in his way. “You can’t take that” said Salkand “It is mine, I saw it first.” “No it isn’t!” Hamel yelled. And so it went, from day to night, those two fools caused quite a fight, first one would yell, and then the other, until it was said their voices gave out, in which they just wrestled for that darn sandal.

It's all kind of moot now, as when the minath auction house was removed, the pillar was and is no more. -.-
