swap the 29 swords with either 29 fire/air/water (your preference....) and use the shield spell fore the relevent element. That way you won't receive recoil when monsters get next to you. Also, you can grab (fireball, blizzard, or Lightning bolt) and use that at the same time to help kill monsters at range faster. I use that tactic on my whipper to devastating effect.


Also, unless you are going to be going into the guild (and then buy the bow) use bolts and crossbows instead. (last longer and are more powerful. a +speed crossbow will fire plenty fast. on my connection it would fire so rapidly that I would often fire 3-10 bolts everytime I double tapped my fire button. with 300+ bolts (silver and slay deamon mixed in with +damage too.) can chew up even ghasts at level 10. (just don't hit it too many times in a row without moving away <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Very Happy" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s -->) also, they work wonders in RD's (fill the corridor with bolts then go retreive them. repeat.) Bolts cost a little more than arrows, and are a little more rare, but are well worth it in my opinion. (I had a level 18 ranged guy using bolts and a crossbow, deleted him to experiment with other builds.) I prefere to have a bolt spell rather than ball, so that if I run out of bolts (for the crossbow) on a monster that is in a dead end room, I can still kill it without destroying all my bolts. Bolt spells work wonders on going through doors in RD's that are locked. 0.0

Well, My bolts would be destroyed when they got hit with any spell once they werte lying on the ground. Might have been just me. (it would take a while yes, but they would be destroyed by spells.

actually my char had a crossbow and used lightning bolt. I had alias's (alias &lt;&gt; fire) and (alias &lt;&gt; cast lightning bolt) or some such.... lol I can't remember binding rules anymore. <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt="Razz" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P --> so I'd hit the bolt button then hit the fire button on my crosbow then I'd run away, then I'd repeat. I could actually log up quite a bit of moves ahead like this, and after a couple of min watch my guy take down whatever I was fighting. @KOD hmm Okay I thought it did, nevermind. &gt;.&gt;

Well I deleted my Archer, but he was at level 19 and was my 4th char that I made. (the second to reach 18 and first to hit 19) I leveled him pretty fast too, when the server comes back I might remake him to demonstrate the spells/bolts combo. and I never used incantation or conjurection etc. I found that my human had enough mana that with no med I could regen my mana inbetween killing the monsters that required me to use magic. I never had to slow down. (then again in RD's I always turned back when I hit Reapers...) If I had gotten him higher I probably wouldhave put some into both med and evo.
