Anyway, I might need to get like 1 lore or something for magic whip, and maybe a couple of other skills to compliment it, like merchant.
Perhaps something like this:

25 whips
20 air
20 death
1 lore (perhaps higher if I want to make use of a powerful static blade)
2 merchant
7 find weakness (if it works with magic whip)

I could take off find weakness if I wanted more points(maybe meditation), because I don't think it really does much at level 7, anyways. (sorry, I'm still new to this &gt;_&lt Please comment.

And I would probably not use minor heal, because I have no incantation and no life. I wasn't exactly sure what lore was needed to use static blade, or other air spells that are useful, so could someone please help me out with that?
By the way, I think I forgot to mention that I'm going mostly for RDing, but still being decent at PK. Here's another attempt, tell me if it's any better, in your opinion, and what I could/should do to improve it.

1st that 25 whips is going to get you killed.....



Whip skill increases 3 things

1: Attack success
2: Damage increase
3: Attack speed


That means you will bump into a shoggie and BOOM! You are dead before you can even react. With 6 whips and an effective 250 HP I have trouble staying alive from recoil because I hit so fast on my whipper.

2nd Does not matter if you have no incnatation or life magic. with your meditation you can heal more efficiently with minor heal than with pots or time. My whipper has only 5ish life and 5ish incnatation. I heal around 20ish hp for 4ish mana. pretty efficient.

personally I would go with more air less death. and throw the 15-20 whips skill into life and incantation.

6 Lore is plenty. that will get you most of the air spells and medium healing.

Ok, after re-reading I've come up with another build, similar to kingfry's. Joining the conjurer's part of rangers.

25 whips +10 from guild -- 35
20 death +5 from guild -- 25
15 air +5 from guild-- 20
5 lore --- 5
7 spirit --- 7
3 merchant OR meditation +5 meditation from guild -- 3 and 5 or 0 and 8
0 strength +2 from girdle +5 from potion -- 7

Uses mana shield, static blade, vampire blade, fly, speed, darksight, lightning bolt, resist shock, remove curse, and water breathing.

Sounds good to me, but im not definate

@Kingfry I agree that the only way to get around recoil is to kill faster, I jsut don't think it is necessary to HIT FASTER.....


with 6 whips the only thing I miss is (ironically enough) air elementals... I can hit ppl with 40+ dodge every time. Because although my whip may miss, the elemental damage from my blade spells usually hits. so instead of staggering I blast with lightning or gouts of flame when PKing. While vs monsters I smash, stager, and occasionally blast with lightning.

Very interesting, Narhalles, I didnt know that damage still hit even if the whip misses. Seems like everyone is against narhalles, lol. I have to agree that having more air than death does seem like a good idea, for static blade. Although... death would improve vampire blade as well as magic whip.

unguilded rangers could become better since they dont get a -10 in arts, meaning that they could spam heal more efficently or put the extra 10 skillpoints in others

if krayzee wasnt a mage, still could spam heal efficently

only difference was 10 med and 200 sp
