Its still no good. I don't mind it personally too much, but I'll tell you what a Wizard will think of it. First: Map is too large. Second: Too many generators. Third: Thickly bunched monsters make it easy for even low level mages to kill many. Fourth: Display cases aren't really needed, especially for those relatively worthless items. Remove some and leave a broken one, or turn them all broken. Fifth: Still, why are there undead? Thats about, it, I suppose. It would be fun to play, but from a Wizards point of view, its not balanced.

Goblins would not put something in a display case. They would fondle it, play with it, use it, or fight over it. Don't base whether or not something is reasonable on what could be an unbalanced map.

I just said all of that......

I wouldn't go in there below level 5......... probably not till 8... (due to the arros and not having meaningful dodge till then.)

Yeah.... Is that a good thing? When you make areas, you can't look at it from a players point of view saying "WOW!!! AWESOME LOOT!!! I WANNA GO THERE!!!!!" In this one the monsters are too close, and with both your maps I forgot about Halflings. A Halfling mage would be invincible in either, and it'd just be a few minutes for excessive loot and xp. Not to mention that here, the monsters are very patterned, and in even worse excess that the last one. Its VERY repetitive.

There aren't any generators in the map. I'm talking about the one you just posted.

e.g.: 97.

Its not Arilou's decision. He doesn't decide when to change out maps or how so. The ONLY time he can screw with other Wizard's maps, is with Rhialto's say so.

Now, to get to that map you posted.
Again, many monsters in too small a space. It does NOT give the feeling of a wolf pack, especially with two separate packs in one map. Also, The Foxes are very out of place, especially since they are right next to the Wolves. And remember, use generators sparingly. |

Yeah, but you used generators in your last map, and said you wanted to use more in this one. And Arilou I already beat you to telling him that just because maps are in the game doesn't mean they're balanced, and that you don't have control over all those things. <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="Laughing" title="Laughing" /><!-- s --> .

God Kathy, please don't encourage him.
Anyways, I bring up my point again- Don't base whether or not a map is balanced because there is a similar version in the game, Not only is it not true, they don't want overly similar maps. Second, Arilou doesn't control what is in Hades, only Binyamin or Rhialto can say anything about that. |

It looks better, but you have 5 generators in one map, which means at least 20 more monsters, which is excessive. Now add in that the map is overly small and not spaced out enough for the number of monsters, and you've got a map that ain't too good.
I'm actually not exactly sure who made Hades, but since its in Binyamin's Area, I would assume that he made it. I could be wrong. |

yeah it s a little crowded.... too narrow for ore than 1-2 shoggies to attack you.... not enough room for the Demon Lords and Riagors to cast spells effectively. also aren't maps supposed to b less than 25x25?

No, thats not really what Wizards want. Perhaps 1-3 progressive maps, but definitely not 7, and not so steep and incline.

Ooooh, my mage would like shoggys lined up like that, don't wield a weapon, no acid recoil.
They would not accept it, but it be nice to see it in game once. I think I would pass out, lol |
