There is a utility called unfreeze. You just take the gif images, and drag and drop into it. It also allows you to set frame delays.
Well its free to download, and saves animation as a animated gif. I used it before I realized The Gimp had a basic animator. The gimp can also save a animation you copy off the website as a layered image, so you can edit each layer, set time delays, then save again as a animation. So just copy your siggy here, and save as a gif.

I'm sorry to be harsh but well seems to me like pretty much everything from colour schemes to font is wrong. But as you already said, it's only your first try. Try blending your colours more and try not choosing such combinations as green on brown. Leech photoshop from your local peer to peer, do some tutorials(believe me there are plenty), experiment and you'll get to the good sigs in no time.
