You know what salkand, I really think it is a good idea. I really do, but I have my own vision of it. I think it would make spellcasting wars a lot more active and interesting. My version would be that it only lasts a few seconds no matter how much you train, so you can block an incoming spell, but not all spells. I'd lower the amount of reagents to like a mirror and some pixie dust and remove the enforcements so it just mirrors back a spell coming at you. You can't use it all the time since you have to run around and cast spells at the same time.
