Nobody wants or needs to walk dogs where I live.
I don't know anyone I could tutor.
Nobody mows other peoples lawns here unless its their actual JOB job.
Mostly only grownups babysit here, and i'm not risking going to other peoples houses where I live. Not only the fact that alot of people wouldn't consider me old enough to babysit or tutor most of the time.

Similar problems as me? I don't need a job, don't want one. Jobs that you don't intend to take anywhere are useless.

So you intend to pay off college, gas money, and food with what, exactly, until you start your career?

Working at Food City might not take me my whole life, but what it [i:9f17b]will[/i:9f17b] do is get me to where I can stand on my own.

Don't need to go to college until you have a stable career, don't need to drive (walking, scootering, biking), can grow your own food. The only real problem is electricity.

Yeah, And you guys intend to go through college with a job and actually do well? The people who can really pull that off are far a few between, and even if you can its pointless. Like I said, most of the jobs you can get unless you already have a good resume (Yeah right, nobody really cares if you did a highschool newspaper unless you want to do some kind of thing like a journalism intership, which is a diffrent subject. As for some newspapers or News stations for something like that, there are already people with degree's that want jobs there, and it really won't get you anywhere when you want to get a job other than say, getting cocoa for the gaffers ) aren't really worth it. Things like Work/Study are good, put those aren't "Jobs". As for what my plan for college are as of now,(They'll probably change alot in the many years to come, but ,meh) My family isn't particularly rich, but considering my brother recently graduated from college, he'll probably be able to help me out. And my sister is in college right now too, so, yeah. But thats basically mostly of a stating up plan, as I will probably be joining the Military and becoming an Officer so, yeah, that too. If niether of that is possible, i'll try and get scholarships to put me through if I don't anyways.

As for getting some worthless part-time job that will get you on your feet, They mostly just drag you down, rather than pull you up. If you really think you have something, well, good for you, but thats what WAY too many Highschoolers think. (Or whatever age you are, ) One thing if you really have to try that becuase you think its gonna work, don't even try/attempt/bother with Any partying/drinking/ect. (Stay away from it anyways, its not gonna help you in any way) and stay as FAR the hell away from Student Loans as you can, unless you really know the job that you know 100% is possible for you to get, and have a major that can work with it.

Edit: Whoah mama I just looked at me post, Thats a whopper right there! I just sure do love rambling!

Well Arisu, where do you work then? Also, Student loans ARE a bad thing, and yes, sometimes they are unavoidable, but I was saying, if theres any way you CAN stay way from them, its is probably in your best intrest to do so, as nobody seems to understand how to use money nowadays. They can be good sometimes, if you actually think about what you are doing.

In my personal opinion, skipping high school is a big plus. Since high school is pretty much just a review of what you learned in Jr. high, just take the GED and replace high school with a community college. All in all, it's less stressful, and businesses prefer someone who's in a community college rather than high school. Or, you could make enough money to live in the mountains with half of your money in a high interest savings account, or whatever those are called... But thats just one of my more minor dreams.

That is the Truth Moraath, its what I plan to do if I can. Although I am Homeschooled, And might actually learn something, I might as well go to community college, So I can get some college credits in more advanced areas I may want to work in. Then again, god knows the teachers aren't much brighter than my mother.
