Getting to know your fellow wyverners

Hrmm, lets see. Been with Wyvern since around 01' I believe, although Zifa was created in 02' as my main character that I was on.

I've always loved messing around with a computer, building them, taking them apart, creating programs to run on them. I am current in college taking different programming courses, once I finish, I plan on going back for game-design and 3D-design.

I am hoping to get into the game industry as a developer for a major game, although I do need to find a nice little team to volunteer my help to right now. I have my eyes set on a few companies I would love to work for. Maxis, Funcom, SOE, Sigil, Simutronics, and Bioware.

Ha, I would be happy to work for Will..but eh, I really don't like EA. I am leaning more towards an MMO company, or a company who does both, such as Bioware.

I was talking about Maxis. EA bought Maxis as well, which is why I said I dislike EA, and I wouldn't want to work for Maxis, because they aren't a full MMO company. (aside from Sims Online)

And EA isn't the best company for an MMO, they shut down Earth and Beyond, and ruined Ultima Online.

Hm. I guess I'll jump in the bandwagon too.

Most people should know who Myke***ie is in the game, so I doubt I need to explain anything of that nature.

In real life, however...
-I'm currently 17 years old. My birthday is May the 12th, so I will remain 17 years old for a while.
-I live in Vancouver, BC. That's the one in Canada, not the States.

It's a rather large image because I can only use MSPaint, which doesn't have a resizing option. (More observant players will know that I have long hair because I mentioned it a few times in-game. -My favorite fruit are oranges.

-I'm fond of listening to video game music because they're quite a bit more catchy than other music types. I'm disgusted by people who think that video game music are somehow &quot;inferior&quot; to other music genres. Sadly, such people do exist, though most people, musicians and listeners alike, do admit that VG music is just as respectable as other music types.
-I prefer hamsters as pets, and currently do have a golden hamster as a pet.
-I'm supposedly slightly autistic, but I don't believe that's true. (Do I act autistic to anybody? If I do, just tell me.)
-If I had a hand-to-hand weapon of any choice, it'd be a lance/spear.
-If I had a firearm of any choice, it'd be a semiautomatic machinegun.
-If I had a combat vehicle of any choice, it'd be an APC.
-My favorite school subject is History.
-My least favorite school subject is Math.
-I'm a bit of a nerd at my school, except that I get poor grades, whereas most nerds excell at school.
-I am of Chinese origin, both of my parents are Chinese, and I spent about 10 years of my life in China before moving to Canada. Sadly, during those 10 years I was subjected to and influenced by government propaganda (like all Chinese children), which leads to me having some pretty radical beliefs. It's not like I can just change them either. The time I spent in democratic Canada has helped, but only a little.
-Despite living over half of my life in China, I speak very little Chinese. Largely because I've forgotten how to do so due to living in an English-speaking country for so long. (Technically, French is also one of Canada's offical language, but who cares.)
-I play a lot of RPGs, mostly single player. Wyvern is actually the only multiplayer RPG I play regularly. Most of my RPGs are GBA games.
-According to the [url=http://qntm.org/owe:41bab]Piracy Calculator[/url:41bab], I owe various companies a total of $1162 Canadian. Interestingly, this is actually quite a low amount to what most people owe through pirating.

Funcoms' only North American office is like..an hour or two from where I live. When I was an ARK for Anarchy Online, I could have went there for ARK meetings, but I never had a chance to. Funcom = best.

Funcom is my favorite company.

The reason they do it like they are, once people get hooked, they want the other expansions so they can play. Evenw ith the ads, they still don't make enough money to make it fully free, so the pay-per-month offsets what they don't get through the ads.

I do wish they would understadn that an AO2, new engine, just as much, or more content would beat any other game out there. But oh well, maybe I will make that suggestion if I ever get the job. Hah.

Grading is &quot;Fair&quot; is Highschool? I think Not! What a joke. If you are lucky enough to get into a highschool where they grade fairly, its like finding a piece of gold in a haystack.

I never did like to study, then again..I rarely did it. For me, when I was in high school...if I studied for something I knew, I would forget it and make a bad grade. -So- many hated me in my science classes, or different computer classes. I could go in and within a few minutes I would be finished with a test and everyone else would take the entire class.

Once into college however, you will need to study more, depending on what you are going into. I am into the computer-porgraming courses, so I do have to study somewhat. Most of the things I remember though, others I study.
