What are some of your favorite bugs?

I was just thinking back on all the bugs i have seen over my years of playing and some of em were pretty funny, and I will admit i used a few of em myself. If I ever did it was only once or twice and then reported it, but there were some interesting ones. So this thread is for bugs you either found, used, or knew about that you'd like to share.

Ill get the ball rolling, does anyone remember the bug where you could walk through walls using a beach towel? How about the bug where you can freeze the camera that keeps your character in the center of the screen and you can actually walk to the edge of your screen without the camera following you. That one was fun and harmless, plus it was cool to see if you could find your way to different places blindly. One time I took pruflus and froze his camera and did the whole skull cave. It took me about 45 minutes to get to teh cave and 3 hours or so to clear it, but it was fun lol.

I liked when the pirate flags glitched and multiplied. Then you could drop them and when you walked over them they would blink and stuff. I thought it was pretty funny.

i remember that sceenshot......i think thats me.....the stoney. sigh that was a good day to ask ppl how my skills were. sigh not very good against levels higher than me.or certain ppl on my range.

i had a nice club with a bug on it. it showed a yellow T.
like the Teshuvah T just a little smaller and yellow. i made screenshot , but that computer doesn´t exist anymore.. boo. but that T was special.

I remember the awesome bug where you couldn't enter or exit the map you were in. R was trying to corfort all of us that day.

One funny bug was you used to be able to get items called "off-limits" off of a particular pixie monster because it was bugged, when you dropped it, it made it so no one could enter that square. I knew a few people who got about 6 or 7 and dropped them on people's items in NVA so they couldnt get them and also put them on the doorways so people couldnt leave lol. Also, I knew a former wizard who used to crash the server by spamming create water over a fountain. And who could forget the old "kill" bug. "alias k kill nightswift; kill nightswift; kill nightswift; kill nightswift" lol. Wizards need to keep an eye open, people still use that in lq's, but they don't alias it, they just type it out.

There used to be a bug a few years back where you could duplicate money using the banking system in BR..., x_X

I love the 'triplexp' and 'x2gold' cheats.

my only real bug that I found was you could offer items in NVa wear them and use em till they were 99% damaged and sell them for the same price... O.o..... I never ripped any1 offf though... lol.

i dont like the bug where when u log off and log on yur other character u still see yur other character on there.....it creeps me out.

Awesome.

I knew tons of ways to rip off the shops but i reported all of em except one, but the one i didnt report i never used. One famous one was buying armor, lets say DSM from the shop. The base cost is 250k. Get your character lots of pixie dust and the spells shrink/enlarge armor and atleast 1 point in blacksmithing. Refund the DSM, it turns yellow in your inventory, adjust it to the top. Continually shrink and enlarge the armor with the spells until it gets to 99% damaged and is normal sized. Drop the DSM on the ground and the price will be around 20k or so for a perfectly good DSM lol. If you ever wondered why all of a sudden refunded items auto-drop from your inventory when they didnt used to, that's why ^^

PS. Don't bother trying this, the bug has been fixed and you will look like a loser for trying lol.

PPS. I found a way to do 100 levels of sokoban in under 10 minutes. I never did it, but it would be a funny way to get a permanent bannishment.

The one I had all my characters banned for: duping stackables <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt="Razz" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P --> you just kept the stable item (you needed 3+ for it to have worked lol) then tried to put it in the recycle bin... I once made a lvl 23 hydra with 15 strength unable to move from the amount of platinum I had on him... then I brought all I could to br and dropped it in 100 plat piles all over the place lol the wizzies weren't too happy about that one... oh and another thing that was funny but not a bug was when I summoned and controlled a gorgon and petrified people in br right when they stepped out of the hospital

You had to just go to a place where you can cast spells and there are peacefull animals or npc's running around. Like lets say Bandar Gah or Jbel. Charmed the npc or monster, and made it attack the peacefull npc. The guards came after the animal like they did the crime and put them in jail lol. I had the whole jail filled one night, and I'll never forget this one kids shout when he got arrested and went in the jail <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><!-- s -->

The most notable bug I remember is when I was around level 12 or so (years ago) there was this random, and seemingly invincible kobold in alaria by the pool. It's invintory was filled with rods, scrolls ect. And wizards could not figure out how it got there, and couldn't seem to get rid of it either.

But it turned out that eventually it did die (with loads of people around it, attacking) and oddly enough, people split the loot ( I even got some). It was like an accidental lq.

that was probably a wizard abusing his/her powers and making a kobold that could get their alt some fast money. I knew a few wizards back in the day who abused their powers by either making maps with abusable things like large piles of cash, or rare items that you could reach through walking through walls etc. Some of you may think i don't know what i'm talking about but i knew a lot of the behind the scenes stuff and if you guys knew the real story about janica, you would be blown away lol. I have tons of old word documents saved that record the not-so-good moments of various wizards, but I have never and will never share the documents for the sake of current wizards. But some mighty interesting things went on behind the backs of the players, thats all i can say.

yay for conspiracy...hey i believe you, but then again, why shouldnt it be true? it's perfectly plausible, wizards are only human...so what, human learn from human mistakes, thats how human evolve...

this is new interesting and all, but i couldnt help but think Toe is becoming a forum troll <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_surprised.gif" alt="Surprised" title="Surprised" /><!-- s --> (in the nicest meaning possible), the things he brings up are just too interesting, its hard to avoid a controversey..hehe
