Light? Bright light? No shapes, just light.

?What will you do??

I see nothing, and yet I hear someone.

?You are very fortunate? the voice said ?Not everyone is given this opportunity.?

?What? Where am I??

?That is not your immediate concern. What is, however, is on your mind.?

Then the memories came back. First from when I was a cub, there was mother? sitting reading a story to us as we waited for Father to come home. Then, of Father training me to follow after him and finally of that day when I left in anger and frustration. I left mother and father and began a life of my own. What? What was that? Ahhhh? Rahhallas?. Yes that was my name. That? was? so very, very long ago. From that point I remember ruining my life, of chasing shadows, of striking out in fear, of running? and then this?.

?Why am I here??

?Not everyone has an opportunity to start again, to begin fresh, to do over his mistakes.? replied the voice. ?You have that opportunity. The question remains, however, what will you do??

?I said? the steely voice echoed ?WHAT WILL YOU DO!?

?Ddddd? dddooooo?? I stammered ?I? I? I don?t know. But if you will give me the opportunity I want to try.?
