To give lq's a more role playing aspect I think it would be cool for guild specific lq's. For example, the Paladin's guildmaster becomes demon possesed, and its up to the members of the paladins guild to stop him. Then, everyone could hop on there Paladin alt and help out. And the prize for this quest would be role playing to, like an holy avenger.

ya! that would be awesome but it should be only for guild members and no qp points only randomized rare items, not like melee resists and omni magic rare items i mean like the weapons that dissapear after boot.

Yeah, it's a good idea, although I wouldn't be able to participate in any of them... You should notify a Wizard of your idea and see what they think.

Maybe you could even have race based lqs. For example, if the elven village was being attacked by...I dunno...lets just say...uhhh....rabid wombats, then all of the elves would try to rush in and save it. Protect the king and queen and such. But then every race would need a town and last I new giants still didnt have one...*shakes fist*

Sounds great.
*imagines* A mad Archmage, banished long ago to another dimension, breaks free and challenges the mages of Wyvern to a spell battle for dominion of all Wyvern's magic. He has spell guards that no physical weapons can pierce. Spells fly about the world, ****s are turned into fried poultry by stray fireballs, and mountains are leveled by titanic blasts of magic. The Archmage creates golems and undead creatures of all descriptions to slow the mages of Wyvern down, all the while pelting everyone in range with huge fireballs, godlike thunderstorms and dragon breaths, and other powerful spells. Only those with resist spells powerful enough to survive such a beating can even get within eyesight of him. The Archmages respond in massive numbers, disintigrating his summoned allies faster than he can create them, and, in the end, vanquish the mad spellcaster. Now [i:c0238]that[/i:c0238] would be fun <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Very Happy" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s -->. Be sure to mail a wizard about this idea, its one of the best sounding I've heard yet. |

Gee, thanks guys. I think most of the wizards probally have seen this forum, or will in the near future. So i'll leave it up to them to put my idea into action.

Here are some themes I can think of for each guild
Rogues- The chief of police arrests the Rogue Guildmaster, it is up to the members of the rogues guild to rescue him. Paladins- Guild Master becomes possesed by a demon, it is up to the members of the paladins guild to deafeat the demon, and exercize the demon! Mages- *see tuors idea* Cavemens- A paladin, on a mission to smite the Cavemen guildmaster, is sent into the guild, it is up to the members of the cavemens guild to stop the paladin before the guildmaster is smited. Those are some I could think of, Im not sure for the other guilds. You guys have any ideas? |

Yeah, though there isn't much competition from my guild. There are a few good archers. Actually, just a few archers. <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt="Confused" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? --> Still a great idea.

but if you have few archers its an advantage for the ones that are on lol...specially the high levell ones who have good skills.

I am in favor of this idea.
I only see a problem with guilds who have low membership. But hopefully that will change eventually. |

i'm in too and there should sometimes also be random lq outiside guild lq's so the non-guilded people can join in also

wel i think that it is a great idea with one flaw
some REALLY good players arent guilded, like zega (i think) just change it to races and maybe also guilds like lalava said |

I am opposed to this idea.
The whole point of having LQs is to have players from all guilds and races work together to achieve a common goal (admittedly, this isn't what's really happening). By adding race/guild-specific LQs, we'd be straying from the true purpose of the game. Also, think of it from a balance point of view, sure, it would help with some of the current LQ problems, such as Mages/Archers not being able to win LQs, but it would also create new ones. Most likely, since LQs would be randomly generated, there would be some lucky guild/races that would recieve more LQs and therefore more LQ items than other race/guilds. |
