And no one said making a giant mage should ever be easy! [/quote:a2bfc] I dunno, Trenhook seemed to do well enough... |

Chikao, just because your happy doesnt make the smallest of difference, what is important is this...is your lv22 fire giant any good? (can he beat a decent human pally? does he have the ability to servive a gore lq? can he get to lv40 of an rd?) [/quote:45fb7] I'm happy because the fire giants are the most challenging giant race to play. My fire giant has beaten a Naga Hydra (which I'm proud of as I don't PK with him, I built him to train and that's what he does), he has survived Gore, Zeik and Raze, and he can get as far down an RD as I want as long as I can side-step Reapers and not risk the deaths. And there are a lot of people who like Fire giants. Just because they lack a bit of melee skill means nothing; most players use arrows until level 8. I'm not denying an extra 4 swords wouldn't be nice, I'd welcome it, but it's not needed. Can I ask why you're so livid about getting the extra melee? |

The furthest I've gone in an RD? level 55 when I were level 20.
I'm not scared of any monsters in particular, I just hate getting Death Rayed by a Reaper, even when I have a Death protection amulet. So what if 30 swords gets expensive? By level 30, you'll be able to make triple the cash you need to train the 1 level of swords. If you're making this a cost-related discussion now, then bring up mages. [quote:31a5b] ChikaoFG wrote: I'm happy because the fire giants are the most challenging giant race to play. no, nagas and pixies come to mind for that title [/quote:31a5b] I said "most challenging GIANT race". As in, the hardest of the four giant races. And I beat a naga monk (the name of whom I forget, something long and stupid... No offense to whoever it might be ) who was a master martial artist. I think that's some achievement, considering he admitted he healed. And the using arrows technique is to get money while slowly building up your skills. So what if fire giants are the weaker of the four melee races. The game isn't based around strength; it's based around skills and how you use what is given to you. Next you'll be saying that the frost and stone giants should lose their melee bonuses to make it fairer. My opinion on the matter is that until the elements are evened out, so that fire is no longer the dominant element, fire giants should not get any melee pluses. [quote:31a5b] and btw, this is a fire giant...by lv28 with imp crown 92 sp is all they'll have, and spam healing your way out of a sticky situation isnt always a possibility [/quote:31a5b] I have 102 sp at level 22. If I ever get into a tight spot, I hit dispel confusion alias and teleport. And pray I get out of said tight spot. And it's actually 94 sp, so they could heal two more times... |

If your giant is this weak maybe its not the race that is weak 75% of the time its the player. [/quote:3f32b] It's not the characters at all, it's the player behind the characters and what choices are made. |

Yeah, all giants should just have the resists, screw natural abilities... Maybe it would shut Benatu2 up
