I may be wrong but i think that they meant the skill build up for a Paladin Pixie

wouldnt it be better to not use mana shield and spend the spirit points on strength

you know pixies will die at once if they can't keep casting mana shield

Hrm pixie paladin; nearly as odd a combination as naga mage with hydra form all the time. Lets start by looking at where you want to be at L25:

Incantation:9
Swords: 25
Find Weakness: 11
Merchant: 10
Meditation: 10
Strength: 10

Now I am sure you will note that does not include life or spirit. It is easier and cheaper on mana to use Heal instead of lesser healing spells. That assumes you have your full guild bonus to make your HP actually a decent level. You can get Heal on rods, but it is very rare. You will also want stockpiles of mana, mana shield, prismatic shield, and strength potions; as well as stock piles of resist scrolls. As long as those things are kept in bags of great holding you should have no problems moving about. Of course the high gold of developing all that stuff is why I suggest 10 merchant. Once you have decent stockpiles built then you can reduce the merchant in favor of find weakness.

Now starting a pixie down the path of paladin is not likely to be easy. And will likely require a fair bit of retraining. For example before you can kill anything with a sword you will probably need 10 strength and 10 swords, but you can't get there till L10. So I would suggest starting as a mage with the lore 1 spell of firebolt, at L2 move to sandstorm. As you go train merchant and strength. L3 pick up the strength spell (that makes 3 lore, 3 strength, and 3 merchant), L4 3 points in meditation. Now L5 starts to get a bit tougher, but keep going with strength, merchant and meditation. Your low level spells can do the killing for you as long as you don't aim to take out things that are too strong.

By level 10 you should have found a spot to make some pretty decent gold and you should be on your way to being able to actually carry around everything you need. Then it is just a matter of building those stock piles. As you develop your gold you can use potions of prismatic shield to help you kill things, and they will be handy later when you do the quest as sandstorm is not likely to get you past all the things there. I would say that once you join the guild you can untrain your lore and train up in swords, you should have gotten yourself decently equipped by then and be able to actually kill with the sword.

My opinion is that by level 10, you should have like:

10 swords
4 life magic
3 lore
6 strength
7 meditation.

Note I haven't put find weakness in. This is because, at a level that low, you don't really need to get critical hits on monsters. Find weakness could probably come in around level 17+.

Lore is for healing and resists.

Swords is obvious I would have thought, and strength is to carry more and to hit harder.

Meditation is to get mana back from resist spells and to help healing. Life is for resists and a healing spell that probably 2 of would get you back to full hp. Heheh.

By level 25 however, I'd suggest 7 or so incantation, for a 2sp minor heal, also a 15+ skills in find weakness, and maybe like 10 life, for wicked-long resists and, if you're lucky, a one-cast heal spell.

Something to test out, perhaps. How many minor-heal casts does it take to heal a level 25 pixie from 10-full hp?
