In my opinion I think the races of elves should recieve 4 skill points per level, on account that they are a somewhat weaker race. Now you may be thinking "Hmm not really cause some archers can really do some awesome damage". And thats so true. But lets take Neji for example, he complains about having only 3 skill points, it doesn't make a very good mage. Unlike a pixie with 3 skill points their mana is an awesome part of them that almost takes the blame for a lost skill point. And on the meleer side of it, elves arn't that good of them. Giants having massive strength capabilitys that almost takes the blame also. But hey I could be thinking of a totally different side of this, so if you have a good reply, post it. I need something to talk about while this crash is up. <!-- s:x --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mad.gif" alt="Mad" title="Mad" /><!-- s:x -->

Elves have an incredible amount of SP, too. They start off with about 80. And last time I remember, I had about 156sp with a woodelf at level 13. Silly me had made him a paladin. <!-- s

Maybe, at a high level in the guild, and a high level a elf paladin could be amazingly good.

An Elven Paladin rocks - spam healing is sooo fun when you have +250 mana...and HP? Almost 200 at level 22-23.

Oh, and I was attacking (with 9 sword skill) at the same rate, if not faster, than my human bladesman (with 29 blades skill).

With my 5 whip skill i attack about as half as fast as my inferior giant peers. Make no mistake elves have great abilities. The one problem we have is the general trend to high damage monsters, these big hitters can take down an elf in one or two hits, and there is no defense for recoil damage which is quite deadly at any attack speed for an elf. Playing an elf is a challenge and thats what fun about them, finding that niche.

Yep, elves have an awesome potential, but many people do not chose to play them for their relatively low hp. Elves are good at dealing high damages in a short time. If i was to bet on human vs. elv both lvl 20 pallies, no dodge, no healing in PK,my bet would be on the elv. BUT this game is not about PK and it can get really tough when an elv meets a recoil monster, since elvs deal a small damage per hit, but their speed is great, so they end up taking a lot in recoil.

[/quote:1cd1f] Actually, the elf that I had was incredibly powerful, he could take ogre mages at level 10 (I think? ^^) in about 10 hits, with 8 sword and 5 strength. I think elves are also the fastest attackers, imagine an elven ranger? whoa, quickness! And with magic whip? Whoa, powerfullness. |

Look at Theok >.>
Poor bloke lived off Naga Guards, doesn't go on much 'cause they nerfed 'em. But still, I was in the same guild as Theok for +2 weeks, and he was extremely powerful. |

I had a dark elf whipsman before and he was really fast as heck. It was just a matter of getting mana shield before he was on a roll. I never tried recoil monsters, but I'd imagine they'd hurt like heck.

No, don't look at me. >.>
I am probably weaker than every other player above level 25. I'm sorry, but if it's possible to make a powerful elf, no one has made on yet. I would go on about this topic, but I have to wrap up this post quickly. I will end by saying. I can't survive a magic trap at level 30. |
