Default A new spell?

How about this for a new spell, Anti Matter. It shots a beam of anti matter. It doesn't fit into any elemental catagory so there are no resist to it. It's very powerful and dangerous, to both the user and the target. This spell takes HP as well as SP to use.

Reagents:

A new reagent created just for this spell. A matter stone (nothing else really made sense to me)

I feel thi spell would work because it can do major damage, but can't be spammed. The reagent price should be high, but not too high. The cost of HP/SP should be enough to cast it once or twice at lv 25, but not to be able to spam it real fast. Also the damage should be good enough to make this spell worth it.

What do you think, any suggestions improvements.

I do like the sound of spells that cost hp. This seems particularly appropriate for higher level death spells, which it only seems fair should hurt the caster just a little for karma's sake.

It's not a death spell, Anti think opposite. it's the opposite of all elements, That's one of the reasons it takes HP, because sincew it's not an element there could be no resist to it, and this prevents spamming the spell.

Before I give comment, Yes I know how old this post is. I am going to ressurect a few of my older post, so that the new forum users can give us their opinions on it. As well as giving new insight into an idea.

Now, I still believe that this would make a great spell. I did not include a lore level last time but I believe [i:2fb16]17[/i:2fb16] would be fair. I believe we need a few more high lore spells between the 13-20 range. Powerful spells that although good in PK/MK can only be cast a few times. Also, I have been a big supporter on spells that take HP to cast. I believe this will add strategy to playing certain elements. Meaning fighting a Fire/water mage will be different then fighting a Fire/death mage, other then their spells.

Also, I hope that by adding spells such as these, we can stop mages from using just fireball/blizzard. Make it so they have to actually [b:2fb16]use[/b:2fb16] other spells.

Feel free to post

Change the name. I think it's anti-thematic. It such a name were to exist, why not just go...
"Space suits anyone? They resist all elements!!! "
"Bows are outdated, let's use tazers set to kill!!!!"

DID YOU NOT READ THAT SENTENCE RIGHT THERE. From now on if you do not read the ENTIRE post. Do not bother making a comment. (My newest idea just came because of Q. Blame him for my next idea)

Anyway, it's my post and I can ressurect it if I feel it has significance. Anti lasers, what? That has nothing to do with anything.

Make a serious well thought out post or leave right now.

Of course. IT WAS RIGHT THERE.

I am going to slowly ressurect old post. SO NOW THAT EVERYONE KNOWS.

There are only about 3-4 I am going to ressurect because I still think they are good ideas. I want some more opinions on them.

If I do not ressurect an idea, and it's one you like. Email me and I'll consider it.

It should not have resist. because it is the the opposite of all elements. What makes it dangerous to cast is it takes HP as well as MP. cast it witht too little HP and guess what?

EVERYONE, GO UP AND READ THE FIRST POST. GIVE OPINIONS YES. BUT REMAIN TRUE TO THE CONCEPT

Aye Salky, People tend to have trouble distinguishing simple things in your topics like what is reasonably changeable, and what is not.

No earth is a valid resist element.

Anti matter is teh opposite of matter. (opposite in atomic spin.) which means that when it contacts regular matter it and the regular matter turn into energy. So this beam shoots anti matter. If an earth caster surrounded himself (with a spell of course) with more matter (LOTS MORE!) he would be unaffected.

I was trying to remain on topic to the spirit of the idea. Just trying to flesh it out is all.

Ohh, and since the anti-matter/matter collisions produce energy, make it so whatever it hits is surrounded in med/weak flame (limit the distance that that spreads of course!)

Ok, thing number one. The reason I said it takes HP is because it had no resist. If you added resist then it wont take HP and people could spam it. At the power of this spell it would be like another destruction, even with resist it would blow through.

If you lower the power it's like fireball. Can't get past resist and nearly useless for quick fighting.

Well, I was thinking, this beam of antimatter, would deteriorate the resist more the longer you stand in the beam. so if you stay in it too long it will completely destroy the resist.

Jsut a thought. Take it or leave it, it was your spell Idea so you get the final say.

Hmm. I like how you are thinking about destroying the resist. But explain to me the process of resisting what is anti?

Well, anti matter is still matter. (Physics)

it just has a different polarity of normal matter. (over simplified but hey)

so if you put enough matter in between yourself and the antimatter it will collide with that and be turned into energy and not anihilate you.

Srry was gone for 3 days. You are talking real world physics. I am talking fantasy world magic. The two things are different and don't apply to each other. When I was oposite of all matter/elements. It means it itself is not an element or matter.

but you said anti-matter. and matter itself is well matter.

In my thesis I make only one assumption: that is, that only real things can interact with real things. (I.E. only matter can interact with matter.) which is proven out in Wyvern.

so

Only real things can interact with matter,
and anti-matter interacts with matter,
therefore, anti-matter must be real.

Which means logically that you could protect ones self from it by putting matter between ones self and the beam.

: )

just my 2 cents.
