Default When (IF) Wyvern (ever) comes back..

I'm going to start a new character, and play him very, very slowly.

What will you guys do when Wyvern gets back up?

I am going to continue to level Vesrayech up.
My brother and I have been talking and I may make a melee character just to show him how easy it is.

Pass Betty as the number one ranked player. But that'll take more around a year than a day. This is if the game even comes back up. But @rarkvar melee is easier than Mage to start off with, then it changes or used too before you could hurt yourself again. Mages just require that you pay more attention and have more aliases with less threat of stupid deaths to dray.

I am going to remake Aeroth and do the wyvern post explorer. It's the only quest that he hasn't completed.

First thing I'll probably do is RD with some friends. After that, work on getting Kama's HoF image, work on a mage and some alts, then same as Shootout - start a new character and play it very, very slowly.

And, of course, finally reach level 36 - eventually.

Granted, I usually do fairly well going down first, I have to agree with Trayr. Monks are (generally) too fragile in confined spaces. Give me room to move around, and there's very little that can kill me.

And then there's those times we've found a DL on the down... *Shudder*

I'm torn on starting a new character or attempting to retrain my dwarven rogue. He still has skills to spam (full)Heal. He was the last character I played and it was one of the more challenging characters I made, which made it enjoyable to play.
But retraining takes so much money!
Although he does have that purdy Ruby Dagger.

Good luck with level 36.. If you made 5 million xp a day after you hofed it'd take 298 days of straight training. But then you have to factor sleep in there somewhere, a job, bathroom breaks.. Yeah. And too bad you can't sell gem weapons I would sell all 4 of my gem daggers since they're just dead weight now.

I'm going to jump right back on as Riordan and try to beat the olympiad and Odins Eye. Then maybe get a Jewel of Besar. If not that i'll play my new alt who is going to go paladin.

Meh, it always was kind of an arbitrary goal. Doesn't matter so much if I make it as much as keep making progress towards it - and yeah, I've done that exact math myself. xP

If Wyvern is around long enough and there's no wipe, I could make it eventually. *shrug*

And yeah.. but at least you have four $1,500,000 paperweights!

Yeah if it comes back up and stays up without a reset it's possible it'd just take forever, even if it resets it's possible if it stays up long enough and they don't change the cap/xp to get there. I have the most expensive paperweights ever! I'll keep them just incase they make rogues better, or lock picking actually becomes a useful party skill/useful in general. Rogues is the hardest guild to join and there is really no reward for it, except saying you're a rogue.

Congratulations on being the first player to use the word "if" instead of the word "when"

Better to think the worst and not be disappointed if it doesn't, than to be optimistic and get let down. That's how I see it. *nods*

Psh, Rogues are super strong. Kabroz for example, was a very touch little halfling and I could rarely beat him in PK, LQs, ect.

While I can't back this up very easily, I get the feeling that rogues make excellent support characters in a party-situation. And from that perspective, not every character class - did I just say that? I mean 'guild' - is as strong on it's own as paired with the right group.

The unfortunate thing is that grouping still needs work. There aren't enough good, enjoyable areas to explore as a group without resorting to jumping down an RD. Not to say there aren't any - but it's one of the areas of Wyvern that could use some more development. Fae Wyston's new Graveyard is a good example of a fun place to group, actually.

With any multiplayer game you're likely to eventually come across the stumbling block of a class being so specialized that it's "absurdly" good at certain things, horrible at others, and is best when supplementing/ed (by) other characters.

Edit: And I just wrote a big long post I wasn't intending to write, oh well. Just don't let me derail this thread, by all means.
