DCSS Morgue File Posting
Hey guys,
I recently mentioned a game called "Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup" in the chatbox, and subsequently got a couple messages about it. It's a difficult game to master, just like Wyvern. Also like Wyvern, you will find all your favorite monsters, spells, items, et cetera. The coding is really well done, and you will find few or no bugs at all, despite it being an open-source game (you can compile it yourself, and then run in "Wizard Mode" and kick the **** out of everything). Anyway, just Google it for the website to download, but after you play a few times, start reading up on CrawlWiki for tips! It's really helpful and necessary if you want to start winning. It took me two weeks to win for the first time (KoBe was my Species/Class), and then another week to win again (this time Ha/As). I suggest running a Troll Berserker over and over again, because they obliterate things in early game and let you experience mid-high level monsters despite being new to the game. Feel free to post your morgue files here, or just describe what the game said when you died or won or lost. Screenshots would also be nice! I'll start by posting a link to my first winning morgue file. These help you understand how a character was played more than anything else you'll encounter on CrawlWiki. Here it is: http://www.scribd.com/doc/57093127/m...0110524-171912. Cheers, and happy crawling! Xerxes PS #Frosten, you had better try this. It's a tactician's dream, this game... PSS Oh my lord, the post keeps editing itself to remove all my capital letters!
