Default Have any of you guys played DnD?

Well have you? Is it interesting if you have, or is it hard? Can you give me an idea of what it is like I'm thinking about playing on Saturdays at a local comic/hobby shop.

Hit or miss entirly based on who your playing with as far as how much fun you'll have, the learning curve is a bit rough to start but its pretty simple once you learn it

But all in all great times are to be had with the right group

I built a Duskblade, but I got sick a few days before my IRC buddies had planned to start the campaign, so I missed out on actually being able to use it.

I've never played it and I still don't quite understand how to, but I more or less understand how to put together a character.

Thumbs up I love DND!

Oh my gosh. I am a DM (Dungeon Master) myself and I must say I love DND. I don't have a very large player pool but I still enjoy creating my campaign and delving players deep into my dungeons and regions of my world. I must say, if its your first time as a player, its important to make sure you know at least a little bit about who your DM and co-players will be. I've heard horror stories of people going to play with people they don't know and end up being bossed around or not enjoying themselves cause people gang up on them (verbally not physically). But overall DND can be a great escape from life when done correctly and fluildy. I'm sure you will have fun.

me played some ad&d long ago and used to be a shadowrun game master.
hum.
silly thing about growing old is ppl (including me) have no time anymore and its very hard to get them together regullary.
somehow me miss those days and nights in the basement of our youth club with all those cigarettes, pizzas, beers, nice ppl with silly ideas just trying to kill my plot and all the time of the world till you fall asleep on the table or some couch...
and i wonder where all my shadowrun-books went, hope someone is still using them

*sigh*

Default South Jersey

Do any of you play in the South Jersey area (aka not the Jersey portrayed by these stupid "reality" shows where the people are in fact not from Jersey at all but are actually from Long Island)?

I'd love to give it a try not as much for the RP but mostly for playing the game.
