Server Status

Hello everyone!

I couldn't access the website or log on to the game, so I came here to see what was going on. To my surprise there was no thread about the status of the server. Am I an anomaly, and if not, I guess this down time has to do with the new static IP? I thank everyone for their time.

Not totally sure on any details but it does seem as though some issues came up. There were some even before the scheduled downtime for the static IP change though so I'm not totally sure this has much to do with the change. Most of us have been chatting in the chatbox at the bottom of the forums home page to keep in touch with each other and the wizards for any updates on the situation.

I am curious (as I am sure many others are as well) if any updates have been received by R about the current server problem? Although players are not too happy, I can only imagine what he is going through on a daily basis. With summer coming up, I couldn't think of any better way to spend my spare time than playing wyvern

I think if you read the announcement it stated there that Arilou would post updates as he sees fit.

Miss Wyvern alot right now, especially since traditional MMOs are all following the same path to fail right now. I know this doesn't qualify as an MMORPG but atleast its unique.

Guys just popped by to see what was gong on.....time to move on guys! Game sucks, wizards are waaaaaay to overbearing and lets face it; there are MUCH better games out there that you dont have to suffer the abuse of the arrogant wizzies LOL. It was a nice starter game for sure, and I might even still play it if it wasn;t the constant smart alec comments and iron fist rule of the wizards. Anyhow, if you choose to stay, have fun, if not, there are much better games out there.

I have never played a game that so successfully combined mind-blowing puzzles, adrenaline-inducing combat, and a community of competitive, knowledgeable players. None of this would have been possible without the stubborn developments of our Wizards. Keep in mind that they are purely volunteers, are self-governed, create new content based on what the players ask for, and even manage to dedicate time just to role-play on the forum when the game is going through a rough patch.

If anything, the Wizards of Wyvern define the game itself. And for that, they deserve our respect. Please don't exonerate yourself from this duty by claiming hypothetical emotional flaws. They are Wizards; they will tease you, they will refuse to abuse their powers, but when someone hacks you or a bug deletes your +100 Sword of Power, they'll be there for you.

It'll be back, and when it is, I hope you rethink your mentality!

Interesting, this doesn't sound like Sundane at all actually. Especially since he hasn't played longer than a few minutes in years and years and we speak at length when he does play.
