Default Skill help

I came across two trainers that taught different skills, Blade and Sword. Is there any difference between the two?

There is. Swords have the name sword in their name. Blades are cutlass, daggers, knives, rapiers, scimitars, and unicorn horns. Blades are generally faster and one handed but also a bit weaker then swords. All in all a sword user is easier for a newer character in my opinion. Good luck and feel free to ask people in game most of us are willing to help.
