Default Spawn spell

Would it be possible for the monsters Spawn spell to summon different kind of monsters or can a monster summon just one other kind of monster?

Never seen more than one kind, but you never know whats possible <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Very Happy" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s -->

I know, but I wanted to know if a monster such as an AD to summon Ghasts as well as Xipes for example. don't think it can be done but I just want to make sure.

(BTW AD uses summon undead) not spawn.

I can always add some generators to the area to create different kinds of monsters, but it's always fun to see the message &quot;Arch Dracolich summons help!&quot; and you don't get such a message when you're using a generator.

Wouldn't you just type two summon spells into the spell list? The monsters would then pick one at random...
I get this idea from looking at the archetype for &quot;Greater Air Elemental&quot;; I'm not sure it's what you want, since the greater doesn't give a message when it summons a lesser.

Use Summon Undead and Spawn in the spell list. Then set the spawn-arch string to the arch path of a different monster that what you think the summon undead list will summon. Also, just so you know generators will not summon monsters that are bigger than 1x1 so I don't think that would work for your intended purpose.

thanks Arilou, I was thinking 1x1 monsters so a combination of all solutions will probably help.
