Where do the Wizzies make their monster artwork? Is it GIMP? And, are there any tutorials on how to make these images?

Wizards use different tools depending on what they prefer or have access to. I personally use PaintShop Pro 9. Any tool that is capable of creating .gif files is usable. This includes Paint, which comes with Windows, although most find it's abilities rather limited.

There is no guide to creating monsters. Generally you want to create 4 facing views, just like you would for a HoF picture. Some existing monsters only have 2 or 1 views, but these are frowned upon unless there is a good reason too. Crocs for example only have 2, east and west.

Otherwise, monster graphics share all the requirements as HoF pictures do: Shadows, Transparency, not copywritten or copied, etc.
