I'm sorry for pumping these out...but if you live a year without wyvern...or any other game... well you'll see...
I decided to condense two topics into one thread to save room, and so I only have to check one if the wizards say "No... you're being stupid... go get a computer that can play wyvern." Anyway New Shifts (lvl 28 or 30) Jormugandr (Norse Midgard Serpent) (1 square) 15 meditation to sustain Can wear: 1 Helmet/attack 1 Amulet 1 Girdle Same HP as a Dragon/viper speeds OR Saurian(lizard man) 2 Squares 15 Meditation Basically a naga, except with boots, that drains MP and gives more HP Same HP as a Dragon or serpent/Naga Speed OR Chimera 2 Squares 18 Meditation 3 heads/attacks 3 Amulet 2 Footwear 1 Girdle Same HP as Hydra/dragon speed NEW Spells Tsunami-Evocation of Water and Air Sends a cone of swirling waves at your opponent.(or something cheesy and cliche like that) Lore:13 Air and water both affect damage Avalanche-Evocation of Earth Sends a cone of rocks hurling at your foe. Lore:6 Earth affects damage Armor-Conjuration/Enchantment(either or) of Earth and Spirit Creates an magical armor (doesn't have to wear it/or maybe does don't care which)out of the earth around you to take up damage (melee resist) Armor is highly susceptible to air and water attacks Lore:5 Earth=strength Spirit=duration -10% water resist -10% Air Resist + 5% resist fire/Petrify Always stays the same +10% melee resist increases by 2% per earth Shockwave-Evocation of Air Just like frostwave lore 4

Chimera have a serpent's head (they have another two), and a snake tail. All in all, not very naga-ish.
![]() That is all.

Is that game art, or something you've been working on for awhile?(looks nice
)And I couldn't think of another name...although it had a snake so i figured good enough... hows about the scylla or something...All I wanted was something smaller than a hydra/dragon/serpent

Charybdis was the whirlpool, i think it was a giant octopus/squid thing
Scylla was a water nymph, she had a mermaid like complex, and she had 6 heads it says they were dog heads according to wikipedia, but in the movie they were snakes and i think she had 8 or something ridiculous I was also wondering is there an amulet that improves speed besides anti-lag?

@Crier: The amulet of the falcon gives a little speed boost. The eagle one does not.
@Mustard: I did draw it, but it's the only face I've done of it (It's actually fairly old). I haven't been able to do any sort of art for a while now. Just busy busy bee.

Huh, could have sworn it did. Sure it wasn't changed at some point? I was clearly faster with it when I tested it about... years... ago. <_>

Anything is possible. But it has not has a speed boost as long as I've been around. But it's always been the rumor.

Hey Teshuvah, would it be possible to have a thread/webpage that shows the lq items and the amount of each in the game at the moment?

Only if players choose to do so. Compiling lists of game items is something the game stays out of.

I believe the scylla is just a water-based(swimming) version of the hydra, but othrwise the same. Cut off a head more grow and of course hercules had to kill it(at least in the book I read)

Did you play Age of Mythology by any chance, cause that is exactly what I was thinking... either that or give hydra 4 feet (like the monster hydra) and i'd be happy.

Possible glitch? I'm certain that wearing an eagle ammy gives a speed boost. Either that or flying is just naturally set to be faster than walking, which makes sense. But if that's the case, then technically it does give a speed boost o_O but either way, about those new forms..they aren't very practical. They're limited by lack of armor (especially for that first one) No matter how strong it is, it'll go down instantly with a lack of decent armor. A helmet, an ammy, and a girdle aren't nearly enough. Possibly if it were an early level shift, but you said 28 or 30.... Saurian seems like a downgrade to me. Either way, you describe a saurian as a lizard man..isn't that exactly what naga's in their natural forms are? Also by default they'd be fighting unarmed...with their hands. Claws, or fists? either that or pole-arm, which isn't a very practical weapon skill the last time I checked. meh.

it comes from the greek(?) myth of scylla and charibdus (sp) where one is a giant water serpent and another is a whirlpool. and if you get farther away from one. you get closer to the other one. I believe it comes from Homer's odyssey but not entirely sure about that.

The speed boost you see when wearing anything that makes you fly is most likely because you are no longer getting the movement penalties of the terrain. Because this is associated with flying, the particular flying device does not give any different speed increase.

"Scylla later attacked the ship of Odysseus even though Circe had warned him about her. In all of Greek mythology Scylla has one of the saddest stories. After all of this, she was turned to stone. "
See I was kinda right

Quote:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scylla_and_Charybdis CHARBYDIS (CORRECT SPELLING) is the whirlpool SCYLLA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scylla <---wikipedia does not lie. Scylla was a horribly grotesque sea monster, with six long necks equipped with grisly heads, each of which contained three rows of sharp teeth. Her body consisted of twelve canine legs and a cat's tail. In classical art, she was depicted as a fish-tailed mermaid with four to six dog-heads ringing her waist. Each of her six heads devoured one sailor (each) during every passage And yes it is Homer's Odyssey
