Default Merchant Skill Should Make Training Cheaper

Yeah, I think the merchant skill should be able to affect training prices. So that we can have a little relief from the expensive training that the mid-high level people get.

Because before, with the guild discounts, I agree that training was cheap but now its just expensive. So the merchant skill should provide some middle ground between cheap and expensive.

Mages never got guild training cheaper for their element training etc.
Now everyone has the same cost. And honestly it's still too cheap. IMHO.
You arent bargaining a price for training anyway (which is what merchant is), you are paying homage to the master trainer basically.

Usually I agree with what wizards say. But I honestly think this would be a good addition as it would help everyone.

The more I thought about this, I also realized merchant training is too cheap for the % off you'd get with high cost items (like training at higher levels).
We do not have many items in the game (until plat) that people buy for very high prices so we hadnt seen it prior to platinum.
Now we have. But again, since there aren't many extremely expensive items other than platinum it's not an issue yet.
So with the high cost of high level training, this would cause a problem with merchant training cost curve. And have to change all that as well.

But again, Like I said, you aren't bartering a price to be trained by a master. So I can't see how merchant skill would apply anyway.

Because maybe in a roleplay sense you have to pay for the trainers homage and so forth, so with higher merchant you can barter the cost of the house, and food for the trainer.
