Cast [spell] on player alias

Instead of mages have to make aliases for every player they RD with (or whatever else) I think there should be an alias so they can just set it to cast a spell on whatever player they're standing by.

I second the motion, have it to where you can just do someting like cast resist fire on neighbor, or something like that, that would be awesome.
You would have to make the neighbor command check for npc/monsters of course, but that would save mages a ton of time setting up aliases and would encourage grouping a little more.

and suddenly while PK it would be worth it for me to set up an alias, cast resist magic on neighbor; dispel resist magic; cast destructionl cast destruction; cast destruction... I would own everyone except for nagas. *nods to self*

Salkand, you would still get owned. If you could use it, so could others.
There would have to be some other rules like: only useable with resist and healing, or only works on people in your group or something.
Then you wouldn't have to worry about people abusing in Pk.

You could try this

alias resists cast resist fire on player; cast resist cold on player; cast resist shock on player;

then go type resists

then use

^player^<realplayername>

If possible, you could alias the "^player^<realplayername>" command, then go press 2 buttons. And there you got it

Woah... that's amazing! I think I got the concept, but it'll probably take me a while to get it working smoothly though

Not without a good mana shield or something, you couldn't. The second you cast any spell on an adjacent player, they start attacking you automatically. Dispelling any spell has a delay of about 3 seconds, as well.
