is there another way of casting a spell instead of writing out cast "spell" is there a shortcut

You can alias them or ready them.

alias 1 cast fire

now everytime you hit 1 you will cast fireball

I don't see why you need to shorten it that much.

Alias 1 cast fireball would be more effective. That way, you won't accidentally cast Firespray or some such.

Aliases are the best way to cast spells, instead of typing them all out.
They're a lot more practical.
