Random title, I know. I decided to play some Everquest again while waiting on Wyvern, picking up the new anniversary edition today [I hope, waiting to call the local gamestop back and see if they got my order in or not.]

Anyone else ever play it, or still do?

I used to play it quite a bit way back when, then I moved on, decided to return. I miss it. <.<

And for anyone who doesn't really know Everquest *gasps* Its considered the 'grandfather' of all MMOs. There were a few before it, but for mainstream, 3D MMOs, it is considered the first. Been going for eight years now.

Okay, as you can see I am bored. Hrmm....

I played some EQ 2 over my friends house..that thing has a truckload of expansions..but for 8 years, I guess it's earned them. I played a little..it's pretty good!

Eq1 has around..13 expansions I think, the new anniversary edition comes with them all. [Gamestop didn't have it today]

EQ2 has three expansions so far.

Oh..so I didnt play EQ 2 then..I did 1. Must be a huge game..

I've played champions: return to arms a few times, which is set in Norrath and stuff..EQ seems pretty fun. If I had the choice to pick an MMO to play, it'd be EQ..but I dont wanna pay, so..yeah.

Anyone else ever play Hero Online? Im sure someone does... cause I read about it on the old forums and decided to give it a shot. Im not very good at it yet, as I started only a few days ago but if anyone who plays wants to join me Im around level 20 and play on D3. If you dont play, you should google it, its a fun game in the absence of wyvern!

Beta's out, lots of footage on it.
Graphics are suppose to improve dramatically still, they're sill kinda running in on they're PC and using Halo2's graphic engine.

I have a friend that plays Beta, he told me this.
Sniper= Same fire rate, bullet travels faster (No more leading or "swipe snipe"
Shotgun= Little longer range (It was useless medium range before)
BR= Same fire rate, NO MORE DOUBLE SHOT. Yay! harder to get on maps now.
Brute Spikers= Like the smg, shoots needles, dual wield, best beatdown for dual-wields.
Shield Gernade= well the big news is its in multilayer. Doest move anymore, one of those new things where you hit "x" to use it.
Mongoose= Person on the back can shoot with a weapon.
AR = Like halo 1, great starting weapon, really balanced.
Trip-mines = Need to say anything else? Another "x" to use.
SMG = Basically the same (useless)
Pistol = Looks alot like halo1's in the video. But the pistols from halo 2 are there I heard too.. I'll ask my friend tomorrow.
Grave lifts= Yea portable grav lifts!

Theres some stuff they show in the beta videos above thats only used by the creators, lots of players havn't seen that stuff up there yet.

During the short time Wyvern has been down I was able to reach level 70. And not only that, look hella **** too. Yes hella. Check it out. The new Pol is awesome. So seriously. Just wanted to brag. Just a little. I can't believe I am hosting this on my myspace though.. I am so risking major reputation here!

Isn't that just a set of green armor????My guildmate lets me use his lvl 70 paladin...Who has mad kara epics and soon to be gladiator set due to me and my RL friend doing 2v2 Arenas right next to each other and owning.

*grumbles* WoW, dumbed-down EQ1 with horrid textures. :P

I've tried WoW many times, and each time it makes me fall asleep, meh. Its just boring, but I know some enjoy it. EQ1, EQ2, Vanguard and Anarchy Online are at the top of my list.

Anarchy Online = All time greatest MMO.

WoW is boring until endgame...End game WoW is where its at.

There isn't much of an end game with WoW, that is why most leave it. Its fun at first, but once you reach the max level, they leave.

False...I dunno how you can say that lol...Arena PvP for Gladiators Set...Multiple huge group raids for much better items....Regular PvP for other PvP Epics...A whole bunch more but thats just what i do....


Theres also maxing your proffessions and secondary proffessions to either better your character item-wise or Rp/Guild run edible-wise.

i used to but then I turned to ragnarok, which imo is much better. Still no match to wyvern though as I got bored at level 65.

I try to avoid games with large file sizes, as my computer doesn't have a whole lot of space and my connection is poor so downloading takes forever......
