This month is the 12th Anniversary for the first game, and so EA has decided to release it for free. No need to sign up for anything, just download the iso's and burn'em to a disc.

Also has instructions on how to make it work in windows xp.



I was pleasantly surprised. Now to pester them about releasing the source code. : D

Oh, good ol' original CnC. I remember playing it all the way back in China, it was actually the first computer game I've ever played.

For those of you who don't know, Command and Conquer was widely considered to be the first true "modern" Real-Time Strategy game. It was the game that popularized the RTS genre. Without Command and Conquer, the RTS genre would have died out with Dune II (which was made by the same company). The Command and Conquer series now boasts eight games and six expansion packs, with its latest title released in March.

I love Command and Conquer. More than I love Wyvern, actually.
