Cloth Shoes
This could go in the idea log, but that's bit hard to access right now.
Anyway, Cloth shoes (call them socks, slippers, doesn't really matter) would allow Rak monks to reach 50 dodge while not giving anything to Nagas. Doesn't seem like it would be real complicated to add, but maybe I'm wrong. |

Sandals, perhaps? They aren't technically cloth, but they certainly don't restrict movement.
If it's good enough for Greek soldiers, it's good enough for me and my Monk brethren, eh? |

Sandals were a good idea, or maybe a anklet or wristband of dexterity, it could fit in the foot, or hand armor slot.

Legolas gave a long list of reasons why this won't ever happen last time I brought it up
The main one, because he said so All the other reasons are basically that monks would get a decrease in agility if they had anything hindering their feet. Especially Raks who have , for obvious reasons, unusually shaped feet. Also due to the use of claws on their feet in battle *number of attacks for a rak* This would decrease that as well. |

Makes sense, I guess. Oh well.

Not really. Like I mentioned above, folk fought in sandals in the past with no problem. I can understand Raks not being able to wear the sandals, but anklets? There's no problem there.
"Because I said so" is never a good reason where balancing is concerned. "Because it would make them overpowered" is, but that is not a reason here. |

There is no way to make any armor for the ankle at the moment , when different body part armor is implemented then possibly.
Shoes aren't going to happen for monks in any form. When monks were created it was done so with a particular set of plus' and minus'. The minus is no shoes ever. That is how they were created with their particular story. Saying "well years ago they used to fight in sandals" is irrelevant , these monks, created for wyvern didnt and never will. It is their 'way' if you will. The plus' are many, the one negative of no agility shoes, is easily undone by training in agility/dodge. It's about choices, and that is one built into Wyvern monks. |

I realize you already said it was never going to happen and you gave specific reasons why but im just speaking my mind here. If you wanted to make an anklet couldnt you just use the properties of boots/shoes but make the picture look like an anklet. It could be monk only and it would take up the boot slot.

Yes, you could. But it's like going around a "Bug" that body parts aren't functioning yet. Especially if you are going to make a guild only armor you probably don't want to do that as it could cause problems/confusion later. Another example of this type of confusion we want to avoid now is brass knuckles being melee.

Perhaps you should consider that Raks are closer to balanced and that Naga's are overpowered. I am sure we can think of some nerfs for Nagas.

Oh man a wizard after my own heart. I have a full list of ways to make nagas more balanced. Nagas are the devil! No offense to any of my naga friends though.

What about pants? Would those be acceptable?

yeah....don't you find it weird that there are really no pant-like equipables....but then again, the game is balanced without them....

Leg coverings are part of one's body armor. Some armor is designed to protect both the chest and legs and as such they are heavier while giving you better protection. However, a lot of armor is designed to protect your vital organs while giving you as much mobility as possible so they end at the waist or just below. Which means anything involving your legs needs to be grouped in to body armor. For example, if you wanted to have jeans in the game ( ) you would also draw a shirt on top of the jeans in the 32x32 image you were making so that they would both be equipped into the same slot as one item. See dragon scale mail graphics as an example of where something like this is already done.
