Default Spell for Healing Mage to help partying

Some spell that would allow basic monitoring of parties HP.
Reliant possibly on Life and Healing skills. Would be an incantation.
Perhaps just notices on major changes to HP. So 3 stages High 100-75% Med 75-50% Low 50-0%. Upon a change from one stage to the next a small notice of "Player Name's health is now Med"

This would encourage partying with a healer build and partying in the first instance as currently healing a party member can only be done by a request or guesswork. It would be nice to think your hard battling partner would have time to just ask for a heal but in the heat of battle this is not the case.

Make an alias - "say I need healing!" or "grouptell I need healing!" or "tell <healer> Heal me please." Then hit said alias when you are low on hp. Problem solved.

Yes thats a way... But surely the healer should be able to decide who has the lowest HP and which team mate to heal?

Should the healer get 3 shouts of heal me from 3 team mates(which is a pain and as parties get bigger will become more of an issue) which do you do first? As a healer I'd expect to know that my friend with just a small cut to his shoulder, and the friend with a broken leg is in less trouble than my friend holding his entrails in with his right hand. But with some ppl this could be the difference in a few HP for some races.

But instead the healer has to rely on luck and intuition.


Just my thoughts on the matter

The other problem with being a healer in a party is that you need to be right next to somebody to heal them and generally it is hard to get next to somebody while they are fighting and moving around.

To help healing mages or parties in general I have thought up of some spells



(Life Shield) Lore cost 15
- You share incoming damage towards a party member and yourself

Requires Life and Earth

Life for duration ( maximum 1 minute long or 5)
Earth ( Decides how much damage is divided , maximum 15 earth for 50% damage share)


(Life Aura) Lore cost 20
- You divide all incoming damage with the whole party including yourself

This will require Spirit, Life and Earth

Life for duration( maximum lasts 3 minutes long)

Spirit ( Decides how many party members the spell can be divided too, 5 spirit = 5 members)

Earth (Decides on the percentage of damage divided from the damaged party member towards the party members)


Anyways, thats my idea.. Feel free to share your ideas and consents.

Life Shield and Life Aura needs alot of tweaking......

I doubt anyone will train 20 lore for that one spell.

Well, then i think the lore cost should be lowered to the same as stonewind.. well i am not realyl sure... what do you think the lore costs should be?

This is a strong spell...

Lore costs could be just a little bit higher than dragonbreath but lower than stonewind..

Any ideas if it ever gets implemented how it will affect gameplay?
Will it divide damage so that no one gets killed, but just a little wounded.
Do the players with higher survivability take in the most damage?
Can it be transferred to summons also.
