Default What do you miss most about Wyvern?

I miss the extreme diversity that it allowed. There was no "wrong" way of playing Wyvern in that you could be a pixie caveman, or stone giant mage. There are endless opportunities that Wyvern has which most games just can't match.

I played Wyvern for years and by the end of its life there were still tons of places I had never explored and secrets I had never found.

The variety in character building gave you the opportunity for a gameplay experience unique from other players', and this is a quality I find lacking in nearly every game I've played since Wyvern's death. It feels good to do something very few people have tried before and succeed as opposed to cruising along on a tried-and-true premade build, and this is something I struggle to do in games with limited character-building options.

I could go on and on and on about why Wyvern was the best game I've ever played, but I'm no expert on game design and it all really just boils down to "it felt good". It hit all the right buttons to keep me interested. It had the right amount of depth mixed with the right amount of action. It was well-made. I miss it. A lot.

Rhialto and the wizards nearly ruined video games for me. Nothing scratches the itch Wyvern did. Nothing compares. It's frustrating.

Everything. No game I've played since has drawn me in as much as Wyvern did, still hopeful for a return, but know that's extremely unlikely.

On the bright side at least you all still get to enjoy your favorite part of Wyvern; a psycho wizard bent on world domination and the consumption of all player kind who would regularly taunt, threaten, and belittle you yummy fatties at the slightest provocation. You're welcome.
