Playerworlds

Okay, not sure if this is the right section for this topic or not, but anyways..

I was thinking. What if we remade Wyvern a little with the Playerworlds engine? I know we would have to get permission for maps and stuff, but it'd be a kinda fun replacement for wyvern while its down. I'd say most of the more active people on the forums could be admins, like Kingfry, Salkand, and of course the normal wizards, Tesh, Arilou, Contarre, etc.

Anyway, I'd love anyone to help get this idea rolling and/or started. Logwad would probably be a good programmer >_>;;.
Tell me what you think, and if you've had any experience with playerworlds/have screenshots of towns, etc.

A playerworld, such as a world created to be similiar to wyvern but different? Actually, I think that's a good idea but who is hosting it? I would wish for a few more details please. I just love that face.

I really have no clue, it's just an idea that I came up with a school a few days back. (just now got this forum working, couldn't get the reset password email sent to myself)

Oh sorry, I dont think I read your post right, Salkand. Playerworlds didnt refer to the actual replica itself, but rather an engine with which we could make it. The gameplay would be extremely different from wyvern, but the maps would be enough to pass the time. Also, some people may actually like it more o_o (I doubt it though, cause wyvern is so awesome.)

Ah, I doubted we would get permission. We could still just make a unrelated playerworlds game, and just bring the players of wyvern over to do this while we wait, lol.

i already suggested this a long time ago, and it got shut down...

there would only be a handful of people who actually went on even if someone did host it

Well, if it's only a few people, then perhaps just a single regular computer would be able to run it. o.O I dunno though lol. I'm kinda starting to doubt that this will get started.

It's just hard to make, it's still mapping a bunch of places, adding monsters, shops, weapons and more. I tried making one, I had some problems with getting weapon and health values right, one thing was too underpowered or overpowered.

But, if you just want a really simple thing, it wouldn't take THAT long to make. It would be horrible if Wyvern cam back once you finished too.
