Most neglected words in the english language
Since most wyvern players are some of the most intelligent out there , I thought I'd share this.
http://hotword.dictionary.com/word-warriors/ ETA: Sadly, now I must add, if you aren't one of the most intelligent ones don't comment and break forum rules being stupid. |

I will be including ossify to my list, I will do my best to make it fit into a sentence. Hopefully saying the word ossify won't break any forum rules. |

To ossify (ossification) is the process in which calcium is laid on bones in growth. Nothing rule breaking about it.

Hrm. Interesting, but I disagree on a great many of the choices. The only ones that really qualify as "underused" in a broad sense seem to be "Concupiscence", "Paroxysm", and "Sibilance". Maybe "Penurious". I really can't see anyone not having heard the others on several occasions.
I find that, usually, the Hot Word isn't really great. |

Since when is draconian a neglected word in the English language? I've seen it used in several fantasy and/or medieval novels...
Unless these "word warriors" think those sort of novels are neglected.

You would.
I like rogitate, personally. Another good resource is... http://phrontistery.info/ The layout isn't as fancy, but it's a good resource for writers who're trying to get vocabulary from another period. |
