Armor

A full set of non-bungling agility +10 armor.

Why?

There is not really any non-bungling resist armor and I need non-bungling armor to be able to spam heal and cast my resists.

Rings

In RDs I wear mithril rings of fire and acid resistance.

Why?

Since they provide good protection against the deadliest two things in an RD for a halfling paladin; acid recoil and DB.


When not in RDs I wear my ring of enhanced protection plus one other resist ring depending on the situation.

Why?

Ring of enhanced protection rocks against most things. I wear the other resist ring to help me against the hardest hitting spells in the particular areas I'm in.


When not in RDs and fighting something that has DR I use two mithril resist rings.

Why?

The same explanation as above however I take away the ring of enhanced protection due to its negative death protection.

Amulets

In RDs and against things with DR I wear an amulet of death protection.

Why?

I don't want to get DRed by reapers and other things with DR


In most other places I wear my amulet of the eagle.

Why

Because moving vast is a necessity.


Underwater I wear my water breathing amulet.

Why?

The reason is obvious

On Myke***ie (Screw you, filter), my armor set goes something like this.

Tiny Imperial Crown of Samhoc - It's easy to see why I and 90% of all Mages prefer this over the Wizard's Cap, it simply has far superior bonuses, and you could get it for free and enlarge/shrink it if you knew what you were doing, as opposed to paying an outrageous 133,000 gold for a cap that you couldn't change sizes with (tiny or giant costs twice as much, a staggering 266,000 gold).

Tiny Lightweight Fancy White Gloves of agility +10 - Standard spell-caster (spam healers included) gloves. The lightweight bonus gives me a little more breathing room with my inventory weight issues.

Amulet of Great Vitality - Gives me a +25 HP bonus, which helps to compensate for the HP decrease from Omnimagic rings. An alias is available should I need to switch to my Amulet of Death Protection for those rare times I face enemies with Death Ray.

Tiny Lightweight Robe of agility +10 - Basic spell-caster body armor. Again, lightweight bonus to compensate for pitiful Pixie strength.

Tiny Lightweight Boots of Fire Walking of agility +10 - In addition to the +10 dodge, Boots of Fire Walking appears to give a tiny amount of defense vs fire damage. Since I fly, the lava-walk ability is pretty useless.

Ring of Omnimagic X2 - The most sought-after spell-caster ring in the game, for obvious reasons. The HP decrease is quite painful - 62 HP with Omnimagic Rings and no Amulet of Great Vitality. An alias is available to switch them for two Rings of the Perfect Whipsman for melee combat or when I want to preserve my precious loot. Unbeknownst to many, I also own a Merchant Ring which gives me a +1 bonus to Merchant when worn. The Merchant Ring was removed from shops a long time ago.

+4 Tiny Cloak of Invisibility - Because I like being invisible. I got it back when enchanted armor was waaaaaaaay imba. It's largely obsolete now because most high-level monsters can see invisible and most competent PKers can also see invisible. Oh yeah, the mana cost for wearing this thing is the most annoying thing ever. I'm too lazy to get a better cloak.

Tiny Chilling Bracelet - Because Bracers are t3h phail.

Other things of note:
-I have no shield because I'm too lazy/stupid to get one of those fancy new non-bungling shields.
-I use my Magic Whip to combat lower-leveled foes. I have a Staff of Death which I never use for anything other than wielding before I cast Magic Whip.
-I have two Rings of Giant Strength and an Amulet of Lordly Might for times when I want to show off my 32 Strength.
-I have around one hundred Rings of Fire Resistance, and at one point I had much more. They're now one of my primrary sources of income. I think Arilou also hates me (more than he hates other players) for having so many.


So, as you can see, I have a much more modest set of equipment compared to some other high-leveled players. Only a couple of LQ items, and one quest prize. I think it's a show of skill how I can still keep up with everybody else using such outdated equipment.

I've under-emphasized getting decent armor on my chars until recently. I'm starting to constantly check the NVA for good agility armor (and some Death-ray resistance for Myself).

Girdle of Constitution - Essential pre-mana shield. ATM, it saves me from needing an extra point in Spirit by altering my HP:Mana ratio so that an 80% mana shield is sufficient

Tiny Skull Shield of Agility +10 of Armor +8 - Actually, he won't be able to wear it for a couple more levels, but I think the reasons for doing so are obvious.

Electrinium sword: It's a love/hate relationship. I don't like meleeing things, but it sure is pretty.
Gold bow: Unguilded archers.. if you're not using a crossbow like the smart kids, beg a guilded archer for one of these.
x2 UW Rings:Since I use two weapons, this gives me a very very very veryry veyareyargh needed +12 skill points (6 swords and 6 bows).
Skull shield +10+10: The extra fear resist is really helpful when you find yourself in a fear cloud that would have otherwise propelled you wildly into a shoggoth.
Jumping boots +10+10:For the agility. Yay boots!
Girdle of Constitution: I don't care about bungling. I only cast like, one spell ever. >_>
Fancy whites +10dura+6: I have fancies! Woo. Without these I'd be a bungling machine.
Cloak of Invis: Should probably get a better cloak for PK and use potions to stay invis. Oh well, good enough for now.

Cloak of agility +10 (Agility is good what can I say?)
Ring of fire resist (Wyverns and fire shogs are the most dangerous mostly fire shogs)

Girdle of Constitution (20 or so more hp is just better than the other ones. 3 more dodge won't help against recoil and fire breath where more hp does)

Non-bungling armor is ideal because I need to cast spells, like...

- mana shield (Enchantment of Spirit)

- teleport (Incantation of Spirit) [Emergency escape, if I ever need it.]

As well as that, you may note that I did not list a sword. That is because I do not use a sword, and have no need for it. Firebolt replaces a swords ability to break down doors, and the cost of the skill points needed to make a secondary weapons skill strong enough to kill Reapers and the like is too high. Rather, I have better uses for them.

Bronze Platemail - I found this in an RD..never bothered to replace it.
Mithril Axe - It is the best axe I know of that I can use.
Gauntlets of Power - They add a +2 strength bonus.
Green Elven Cloak of Agility +7 Durability +3 - I like the +7 agility..
Lightweight Snow Boots of Agility +3 - I like the +3 agility.
Amulet of Free Action - It gives me resistance to paralysis and slow.
Mithril Ring of Fire Resistance - It gives decent Fire resists, and allows me to safely kill GFEs.

No, I think it's just the bow... or bows... don't know exactly what they have there.
You can still buy arrows and fireflies from other players if you're not in the guild though; I know that much.

And I usually wear either two rings of perfect archer or one ring of perfect archer and one ring of invisibility, elven cloak of agility +10 armor +5, boots of fire walking of agility +10 durability +3, lightweight wyvern skin robe, either fedora of agility +8 armor +8 or sorcerers helm, girdle of either strength or constitution, and an amulet of death death pro, greater pro, or water breathing.

I think I need an upgrade in my wardrobe though.
