automated mailing list for server status updates
 

Im not sure how hard it would be to code and or setup but it would be nifty if we could signup with either our accounts or just an email to an automated mail out to let us know when the server goes up or down

Im pretty sure there are people that go far beyond me in how many times they check per day on the server status

During the Hiatus, Pollux had us all sign up for this forum and give our emails so that he could email us when the server finally came back up. if the server is down for an extended period of time again, i'm sure that's what the wizards would use again.

So all of us are already signed up to get such a notice, by being part of the forum?

I think so. However I don't think we need to worry about it being down forever this time. I don't think Rhialto is keen on the player base dropping to near zero again after a long uphill climb after the year long hiatus.
