Dark Elves

Hello, I am a returning player from at least five years ago (Ultrakitty). I just made a new character for a few reasons, mostly because I always wanted to but never got around to it (it is, however, way more difficult now than it used to be!). I made a dark elf, mostly again because I always wanted to but never got around to it. However, I have noticed that they still seem (at least to me) to be vastly worse than their high and wood elf cousins (I haven't researched this greatly recently, but I know at one point wood elves got +5 with bows amd high elves +3, and both have an innate forestry ability, however may character has only +2 in bows and no forestry abilities). Is there something I'm not seeing that makes dark elves on par with the others? If not, is there any particular reason they have fewer abilities?

Not that it matters, because I have little use for forestry, and none for ranged, I was just curious.

Dark elves are not archers, and i don't think they ever will be

"I know at one point wood elves got +5 with bows amd high elves +3"

When guilding into the Archer's guild. Plenty of wood/high elves don't guild into Archer.

All of the elves get the same amount of strength, health, and spell points. Besides the wood elves' plus one to forestry they all get the same skills.
Quote:

* High Elves can see invisible monsters and objects.
* Dark Elves can see in the dark extremely well.
* Wood Elves do a little of both.
^ The only other major difference.

Ah, okay. It all makes more sense now. Thanks for curing my curiosity.
